To my Uncle Jose Padilla, who inspired me on so many levels: the appreciation of nature, the preservation of the terrain, horticultural endeavors, and patience. He laughed when I mentioned planting by phases of the moon. He said the moon was for enlightenment and harvesting. He had a blueprint for living and encouraged everyone he knew to leave something good behind. He was a true groover.
